I woke up feeling a little under the weather today but I have no time for that…got a busy day ahead. So I walked Hayden, showered and dressed. My outfit felt blah, just a white loose tank and jean shorts. Pulled my hair back and thought “I feel like red lips today!” I never rock the red in the daytime but today I felt like going for it. Why not? And you know what…It did the trick I tell ya! It bumped up my look and made me feel bright and cheery. Having a blah day? Try a red lip, let me know how it goes.

My beautiful September issue of W came in the mail today and featured this gorgeous spread shot in Brooklyn, NY. I was born in BK and lived their until our move to Manhattan when I was 12. There’s something so interesting, moody and rich about Brooklyn which is all very apparent in these shots. And how gorgeous are the clothes?! Makes me super excited for Fall. If you live in LA and want to have a fabulous weekend getaway go to THE ACE HOTEL Palm Springs! Damien and I went for the 2nd time this past weekend to celebrate our 3 years together…YAY! Like the first time, it was delightful!

• Super dog friendly! I mean Hayden (our pooch) was laying by the pool with us all weekend!
• Delicious organic/local food you can have poolside, in your room, at the bar or at the restaurant itself

• Snow Cones with booze!
• A hipster cool staff that’s also friendly and attentive
• A scene without being too “LA sceney”

The Emmys are on and I’m, of course, watching…but unfortunately I have to head out soon to partake in an improv show at iO West. Yes, I love improv and acting but I also LOVE pop culture and hate to see things late! Argh. Anyhoo, on to my fashion picks. I’m unfortunately underwhelmed by the red carpet dresses and since I don’t like to post fashion “donts” Ill just share the dresses I like. Here they are…which is your favorite? Is there someone you love that I missed?

Seriously. I used to have an iPhone and had to give it up in exchange for actual cell phone reception. Though, when I recently saw these cases by Exovault, I almost said f**k it. There still exists a very selfish part of me that is hesitant to even publish this post because I may one day choose fashion over functionality and want to be the only one I know with this case!!! There I said it.

Last night was the LA premiere of Drew Barrymore’s new flick Going The Distance with co-star and on-again/off-again beau Justin Long. She was adorable as usual in a gorgeous gold Catherine Malandrino gown. Do you love?

Introducing, Chanel in Khaki Rose, Khaki Brun and Khaki Vert. Hitting stores on September 10th in honor of Fashion’s Night Out. My tip: stay away from Khaki Brun if your complexion is tan, brown or black it could look like you have no nails if you know what I mean. Otherwise Happy Polishing!
