The Oscars! A Hollywood Daydream

The big day has arrived. The who’s who of Hollywood gather at the Kodak Theatre in beautiful gowns and polished tuxedos. The glitz and glamour of “old Hollywood” fill the air. Ah, to be on that Red Carpet! I salute each and every one of them. We’ve seen some great flicks in 2009 and nows the time to honor them. Part of me is raging with jealousy…I can only imagine what if feels like to wear a gown & jewels worth double or triple my lifetime income! But the Actress in me has a smile on her face from ear to ear  and is happy with glee…for I know all the hard work and dedication it took, to get where each and everyone of them, are today. Ah Ha! With that said, I sit and watch these beauties walk the carpet and during commercial breaks Ill daydream of the day I receive my gold man…Oh gosh! What will I wear?! Pink! Right now I think…pink.

Here are my favorite looks of the night. (Wish there were more) Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think. (click the image for larger view)

You know who I thought looked really beautiful too, was Mariska Hargitay. From Law & Order, she looked really amazing!!! http://www.usmagazine.com/stylebeauty/photos/os... not sure if that will work.....

thanks for the comment Jolee! i totally agree. Zoe's dress wasn't the best...but she somehow pulled it off. was also surprised about Miley & Kristen! didn't see Jessica SImpson. hmmmm

I love your choices, and was actually really surprised Miley picked a nice dress. I thought Demi looked really beautiful too!! I was proud that Kristen didn't look like a mess...haha...she actually looked pretty glammed up!!! I was kind of iffy about Zoe's dress but shes looked gorgeous, and it actually worked for her. Jess Simpson I thought looked really nice too!!!

hahaha! THANK YOU LAURA! God, you should always do a comedic comment for my post! Lets do a show together...I'll give fashion advice and then you make fun of it ;) Love you lady!

Thank you for your comment Kimberly! And thanks for reading!
  • That is very gracious and supportive of the actress in you! The granma in me says, "Anna! Miley! Stop slouching! You'll never meet a nice man unless you stand up straight." And the girlfriend in me says, "Yo Fey, suck it in, girlfriend!" The kid in me wants a blindfold and a bat so I can swing at the bottom of Zoe's dress. I like it, but the skirt kind of looks like a pinata.
Fey, as we agreed, looked way better on TV than in this pic. Which, I guess, is why she chose a TV career over runway.

Awesome choices! Meryl was definitely my favorite, and I loved Zoe's look too because it was different and unexpected, and she can pull off anything! I definitely agree with the "Old Hollywood" feel to the night...these ladies look great!
