Grasie’s "Recycled" series was created in the artist's Rhinebeck studio in the spring of 2024. Combining found papers, the artist’s own photography, magazine imagery, oil pastels, ink, tape and string on cardboard to create unique pieces that evoke chaotic harmony and beauty while still exploring uglier themes like economic disparity, racial inequality and capitalism. These pieces can be displayed on their own or combine beautifully in sets.
